Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Assistant to join our team. The Surgical Assistant will work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide support during surgical procedures. This is a critical role that requires strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and patient care.

Duties:
- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by handing them instruments, sutures, and other necessary equipment
- Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room by following proper infection control protocols
- Prepare and position patients for surgery, ensuring their safety and comfort
- Sterilize surgical instruments

- Assist with room turn over.

- Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and supplies
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth workflow and efficient patient care
- Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Qualifications:
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist or completion of an accredited Surgical Assistant program

- Certification as a Medical Assistant
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
